Foot Health Practitioners (FHP) are qualified but unregistered providers of foot health care services. Foot Health Practitioners do not hold professional registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) for chiropody/podiatry services under the Health Professions Order 2001.

FHP’s may hold voluntary registration with the Register of Foot Health Practitioners, however this does not constitute statutory regulation or license to practice. The scope of practice of a Foot Health Practitioner is to be determined by their employer or responsible organisation.

If Feet First Mobile Foot Health Clinic staff hold professional registration with any statutory regulatory council, including but not limited to: General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), these registrations and professional statuses will be clearly stated. This professional registration should not be considered to apply to other non-registered staff such as Foot Health Practitioners (FHP).
